Burnaby Village Museum is laid out as a quaint town that reflects the early history of British Columbia. Each winter, the tiny town transforms into an interactive Heritage Christmas Display. FestiLight and Burnaby Village Museum began working together in 2012 to create innovative ideas and design an experience families will never forget. In the first season we worked with the museum, new displays were set up and a whopping 24,000 lights were added to their existing holiday display. They had a record number of visitors that year. This last 2016 season saw over 49,000 people visit the Heritage Christmas Display!
For the last five years, we have collaborated with other creative minds and taken requests to keep the experience new, fresh, and memorable. For example, a shining feature for the top of the Big Sequoia Christmas Tree was requested. The result was a custom star put together with our snowfall light tubes. The tree looked more spectacular than ever and could be seen from miles away!
Lastly, the best received and most photographed of all the displays was the rainfall lighting surrounding the Nine Ladies Dancing. It was a gorgeous, elegant and romantic touch to the 12 Days Of Christmas theme.
We are thrilled to be a part of the magic at Burnaby Village Museum every year and look forward to showing what we have in store for next year!
“Since 2012, FestiLight has worked with the Burnaby Village Museum to design and install our Heritage Christmas lighting display. Their light installations are by far one of the most popular elements of the event. Every year Daniel and his team bring forward new and innovative ways to enhance the visitor experience from sound reactive bulbs at our bandstand to sparkling curtain lights in our orchard. We look forward to working with FestiLight for our 2017 holiday season.”
