Project story
01 · The challenge
Burnaby’s holiday lighting program spans many kinds of public places. Fire halls, parks, libraries, community centres, civic buildings, and commercial streets each need a clear plan that works for the people who use them.
02 · The solution
FestiLight has worked with the City of Burnaby since at least 2013, beginning with Burnaby Village Museum, and has delivered an evolving city-wide lighting program through the City’s competitive procurement process.
03 · How we delivered it
We manage the full program from planning and installation through maintenance, removal, and storage. Featured locations include Burnaby City Hall, Burnaby Village Museum, Edmonds Community Centre, Civic Square, and Central Park. One of the program’s largest additions brought warm white tree lighting to ten blocks of Hastings Street.
04 · The result
Each location is ready to shine for Burnaby’s seasonal celebrations. At Burnaby Village Museum, massive decorated trees and a colour-changing animated light tunnel bring the annual holiday experience to life, while Hastings Street has an inviting atmosphere for local businesses, residents, and visitors.
